| MTD Yardman blower starting (wiring?) problem Hi, Have an MTD 5HP push-type leaf blower. Drained all gas this spring and put in new gas with stabilizer. Used a couple of times spring & summer with no starting problems. Unit is about 6 years old and not used all that much. Model no.: is 24A 652D000. Tried to start about 2 days ago. Can hear it trying to turn over but will not. Drained gas completely, cleaned carburetor inside and out. Put in fresh gas. Still will not start. Plug clean. Now the weird part. Tuned unit on its left side (carb side towards ground) and removed shroud coveing choke slide. Two black wires coming through what almost looks like a firewall. One has an "L"shaped kink and connects ala the throttle cable on a mower. There is a second black wire with a connector on the end (female end) which clearly looks like it must be connected to something. For the life of me I can't find what what and where it should be pushed onto a male end connector. At a loss. Has to be someplace but where? Any help re connection much appreciated Thanx |
