Question

Just purchased laminated flooring. What is the best saw to use to cut the flooring I know I need at least a 60 to 100
tooth blade. But I have access to the following saws but not sure which to use.

12 inch sliding mitre
10 in table saw
Band Saw
Radial Arm Saw

The table saw will work best on longer rips that I doubt you can avoid and will also handle cross cuts or length reduction. The chop saw is fast and easy for most cuts otherwise. A sharp blade is most important and laminate flooring is tough on those. Use a carbide tipped blade and have it sharpened often if frequent cuts are needed. Most if not all cut edges will be hidden by molding and a 60 tooth blade should work fine. Rub some silicone caulk into the cut edges when installing the planks that have been cut. hope this helps and Good Luck with your project.

Laminate floor "pergo" cutting tool

Google "laminate floor cutting tool". You will find a manual cutter similar to the old trusty paper slice. Feedback I got from users is "it's the best thing since sliced bread"
