88'ply. voyager/2.5L ignition problem
the van started cutting off when i was riding down the road. i would pull over and wait a few miniutes and it would crank back up. it kept getting worse till it would only go a mile before cutting off, but it would still crank after sitting. when i got it home it cut off and i got a friend to turn the motor over while a held the coil wire over the tower of the distibitor cap and there was no spark. i waited a few minuites and tried it again and it had fire & pushing the wire into the cap it started. after cranking one day and not the next it stoped cranking at all. there is no spark coming out of the coil wire going into the distribitor. i put a new coil on but it still had no fire. maybe it is the pic up or something in the distribitor, but beings it had no fire coming out of the coil wire it seems that the problem is before fire reaches the distribitor. any help would be greatly appreciated.
