Hot Water Boiler Radiant Heat

What kind of connections would I need to put in hot water radiant heat from a 20yo+ cast iron hot water boiler? Is it true that I will need a mixing valve to regulate the temperature? At what point does the plastic tubing connect to the hot water line?
