what is the best way to get rid of a skunk that is under my deck

Skunks are mostly nocturnal. The best way to get rid of them is to block off their entrance at night while they are out.

They are also fairly easy to live trap. Use chicken necks for bait. Drop a tarp over the trap and you won't get sprayed. Just transport several miles and drop them off.
