Sallie Mae loan

Howdy folks!

Going back to school and I am trying for a Sallie Mae loan. The amount borrowed is $2250. Why would it be a 15 year loan? Payments are something like $30-40 per month according to the guy I talked to at the school. This seems like a pay off way early loan. Is 15 years standard for Sallie Mae? Thank you much for any input folks.

Seems to me mine were ten year. They rolled me into a 25 year term when I locked in a low APR.
