| What size bathroom exhaust fan? (CFM) Hello everyone, I have a small bathroom that I am in the process of updating. It has an older bathroom fan that needs replacing. The bathroom is roughly 50 sqft, and judging by the guidelines from the vent fan manufacturers, I need a minimum of about 60 CFM. So far, I have only been looking at fans rated at around 1.0 sone. However, the closest match at the stores so far (home depot/lowes) is a 110 CFM 0.8 sone by Harbor Breeze. My main concern is whether or not 110 CFMs is going to be outrageous for our bathroom (and an energy or safety concern). I will need to cut a slightly larger hole in the ceiling for this fan, so I want to be certain I am not making the wrong decision before I start modifying the existing structure. Any pointers on this would be very much appreciated! |
