Convert motion sensor floods to regular floods

I have motion sensor flood lights and want to use flourescent blulbs. Since the flourescent will not work in motion sensor fixtures can I remove the motion sensor so it work the same as a standard flood light fixture.

Yes. Some motion sensors have a switch on them which you can turn off to bypass the motion sensor. Otherwise, with the main power off, simply bypass the motion sensor.

I know that there are problems with CFL's and dimmers and possibly motion sensors, but before I knew there was a conflict I installed CFL floods and they work just fine. Two years now and I haven't told them they are not supposed to work.
Since you are going to but the floods anyway, no harm in trying them. Maybe you will be all set.

I'm like Bud. I did not know you were not supposed to use CFL spotlights with motion sensors. So.....I replaced my spots with CFL's and everything has been working like normal.
