Soil Drainage

I have an area in my yard that gets a lot or rainfall runoff across it then tends to stay soggy a week or two after a rain. I'm looking at various drainage systems to take care of the problem. Does anyone have any experience/recs with different systems? I see a AKWADRAIN system that looks pretty slick as its a high flow system that is an alternative to a classic perf pipe type system. It requires a smaller width trench and needs no gravel fill to work. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
