Question finding furnace filter

Please help me find my furnace filter. Just moved into a new home that was built in 1984. The furnace is a rheem imperial 80 plus.

Is the furnace in the basement? Most of the time, the filter is between the furnace and the duct work that is going down on the side of it. There may be a cover that is on top of the filter, or on the side.

If nothing is there, then you may have to remove the blower door, and look in the side.

If your furnace is in the attic, and/or have one large return then the filter may be behind the grill.
