honeywell smart valve troubleshooting

I have a rooftop HVAC unit with a smart valve SV 9500 M.
I have replaced that flame sensor - pilot assy with no results. When t'stat calls for heat, inducer motor starts and the pilot then lights. The main burrner does not come on. Am I right thinking the valve is the problem. If any safety device is open, the pilot would not light, isn't that right. I hate to just replace parts. Thanks

Try wiggling the wires on top of the valve. The 9500 had an internal wiring problem. If it comes on by this method then you do need a new valve
