Garage Door Remotes Won't Work

I have a Raynor garage door opener and several months ago the remote would only work randomly. I checked my second remote and it was the same. It finally got so bad that I bought a new Delta 3 receiver but it didn't fix the problem. The only time the remotes will open the door is if I hold it within a couple inches of the receiver. The hard wired button on the wall works every time. I've read about the interference near military bases but I'm not near a base. Is there anything else that could be interfering with the signal or does anyone have any suggestions on what I can try next?

I'd guess that the receiver function of the logic board or the receiver board itself (not familiar with who make Raynor openers) inside the motor unit, has/is failing. It's a simple card swap on most units, not sure of the price.

I'd call the company and speak to one of their techs.

Hey Gunguy, Chamberlian makes the newer Raynor openers.

If the original remotes and receiver doesn't work and an add on Receiver and new remotes don't work, there is some sort of radio interference. Is there another garage door opener near by, if so un plug it . It can very likely cause interference.

Cordless phones may be the problem. Unplug any cordless phones you may have and try again. If that solves the problem relocate your cordless phones as far away from the driveway as possible
