Cheapest option for digital tuner for LCD??

I think my Philips LCD tuner has gone bad, and was wondering what the cheapest external tuner (digital) would be. I just need to hook it up to my digital cable saurce. I do not need DVD or DVR etc at this TV.

Any advice is appreciated.

If the tuner is bad, will it even tune to Ch3-4 for use with a cable box??
I assume you have cable. Either rent a box or buy one at the thrift store.

I'm guessing yer going to use a video input on the TV? Well, renting/buying a cable box is one option, or a VCR with a digital tuner. Those are pretty darn cheap right now, since they know they are on the way out. If you can find one.

I don't think there is a digital VCR. There are DVR's that have tuners fro $200. or so. Costco sells the multi-function DVR-VHS tuner for about $260.

I think cable box is cheapest bet.
