Mitsubishi TV colour problems

Mitsubishi model CS-37MX1C without any external change seems to need degaussing. Has a built-in degaussing button pressing activates the degaussing however has no effect. Checked the power supply board where the degaussing is plugged in and has no burnt or loose connections and I also checked the main board where the degaussing transformer is plugged in and yet again nothing burnt of loose. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

you need to use an external degaussing coil. The built in one on the set is just strong enough to eliminate any stray magnetic flux lines during the high voltage initial build up.

It looks just like the JVC post I did on 11-14-08 sometimes it looks better or worst. Could it be some component otherwise? The problem just started by its self without any outside magnetic source having been placed nearby.

The only possible causes are a bad connection in the tv degause circuit.Making and breaking connection will cause the degaussing to come on and off whitch could cause it.The other is if for some reason the purity rings on the neck of the crt moved .I'm not certain this tv uses purity rings.

Checked the Degausing and it was fine. The problem seems to be environmental; moved the t.v out of the room and everything is fine.
The strange thing is that i replaced the t.v with another one and the problem disappeared.

Thanks for all your help.
