Concord 4 output EOL resistor

I'm preparing to install a piezo siren on hardwire output #1 of my Concord 4 system. The diagram in the installation manual shows what appears to be an EOL resistor on the line. However none of the text about using the outputs mentions the resistor or specifies a value for it (unlike the text about inputs, where they do specify the resistor).

Is an EOL resistor needed on output #1? If so, should I use the usual 2K value?

Thanks in advance!

I think you may be referring to figure 12 (page 15 of my copy of the manual). That model siren has a built in tamper switch. It's use in a residential install is pretty much optional. (Generally it's only connnected to a tamper zone in locations were someone might actually try to remove the siren, like a commercial installation).

Thanks for the reply...

In my manual, Figure 12 shows an interior siren with a separate tamper zone, as you say. I'm actually looking at Figure 11, which is an exterior siren without a tamper switch. The EOL resistor is shown across the OUT1 and GND terminals.

In case it's helpful, I placed an exact copy of the manual I'm looking at here: http://www.kroptech.com/~adk0212/Concord4-Install.pdf

Don't need a resistor....if you use the speaker output (terminals 7&8), you can use one if you want to. You have to turn on Siren Verify in programming if you want to supervise the speaker.
