Vista 15P w/6150-Power Failure, Alarm siren chirps
I have a Vista 15P w/2 x 6150 keypad. This system is hardwired, without monitoring service and about 1 year old. The Power Failed for an undisclosed amount of time. The alarm system siren was chirping continuously, it was NOT the siren sound that an intruder would have set off. I tried the alarm disable code but was forced to shut the breaker off to the master bedroom where the panel is located. I needed power to the Master bedroom so I had to force my way into the panel box and unplug the transformer (system was still chirping) until I unplug the backup battery system. Anytime I power the system up the chirping continues. I have tried the * and # reset but it does not work. The Keypads buttons light up but the screen does not. My guess is that the transformer, backup battery or siren was damaged in the outage. What do you suggest?
