Question replaceing 5816 window transmitter on Safewatch Pro 3000

I need to enroll a replacement 5816 wireless window transmitter. I was told by ADT customer service they would walk me through the process, but after I bought the new transmitter they said the could not do that and I needed to schedule a service call. I do not have the installation instructions. Can I do this without calling a technician?

Now that you have had a chance to look over the archived posts, I'm sure you now know that a SW 3000 is a modified Vista 20p system. (Websearch using the phrase "Installer manual Vista 20p". There will be lots of hits, and much of what you want to do has been repeated on this forum, a lot.)

That said: Yes, it's actually pretty easy to delete an existing transmitter and add a new one in it's place.
