Will Ademco 5839 work with 5882 and 5800TM

Hello!

I would like to add a wireless keypad to my ADT Safewatch Pro 2000 (rebadged Ademco Vista 20SE).

It currently has a 5882-2M receiver. This is the number on the PC board, and no other stickers give any other 58xx numbers, so I assume this is the 5882M receiver. All the wireless sensors work properly.

I would like to add the 5839 instead of the 5829 since it gives more detailed reports on the alphanumeric display and continuously displays alarm status.

Will it work if I install the 5800TM module, or do I really _have_to_ replace my 5882M receiver with a 5883H bidirectional module?

Thanks!

Willis

Yes, the bi-directional function is necessary to enroll the keypad.
