I have oak colored cabints and they come up to the sink on either side, there is a piece of molding that connect the 2 at the top, it also houses a light.....I had a lady say that that look dates a kitchen (we r painting and such in there now) and suggested that if we can't just remove that piece that I should hang my new topper on the actually molding piece! I hope you can post a pic because I'm not picturing this molding piece, either.
Will curtains be in this window also? Mounting the valance on the molding piece may project it out too far if not.
Can the valance be hung under the molding piece or inside the window itself?
