| Welcome to the forums!! What a treasure! Too bad it has to go. It was probably installed in 1925. One word of caution, you mentioned the word "apartment". Any modifications you make will have to be approved by the landlord in writing just to keep your nose clean, OK? The Youngstowns are heavy....I mean HEAVY, since the entire sink top is porcelain cast iron, so it will take a lot of help to lift it. Unhook all your supply lines and drains and lift straight up on the sink. It should come up, as it is probably only held down with a few tension clips in the body. The body will come out with a little less effort. Good luck with it, and let us know how it goes. |
