Question Installing glass tile as a mirror frame

We have glued a mirror to the wall in our bathroom using mirror glue. We would now like to frame the mirror with small glass tiles. We purchased 12"x12" tiles of mini glass tiles and have cut those down to 3.25" x 12" strips (about 5 mini glass tiles wide). We would like to adhere these strips around the mirror to form a frame and then grout them. Can we use clear silicon to adhere the strips to the wall or is there something better to use (that is easy to do, we're not expert DIY'ers, LOL). What should we use to hold the strips in place while the glue dries? Are there any tips for grouting (especially since the outside edges of the tile is exposed)? Any help would be most appreciated!
