fiberglass sundeck repair

Hi All,

I put on the gelcoat last year and now its cracking and chipping. Whats the best way to rid of the gelcoat and reapply. I do have an angle grinder and a belt sander but was considering to rent one of the floor sanders which would cut the time enormously.

I was thinking of applying deckote instead of reapply gelcoat or is there anything else i can use over the fiberglass? particularly from Sherwin Williams industrial products?

BTW, my deck is uncovered so it gets the rain, sun, snow, etc

Thanks!
