| You will get the best price for it selling it online. How easy it is to sell it depends on the car (is it a niche type vehicle like a Toyota FJ or PT Cruiser) and how many people are around where you live. To sell it, first clean it out completely. Get it as absolutely clean as you can. If you're unable to do this, get it detailed. Get all the records you can for maintenance. I'd also get a Carfax report that you can give to people. Then you'll be ready to sell it. Use KBB.com as people have said to estimate the value and be honest. Post it on Craigslist or one of the paid online sites. Be sure to give a good description of the car and put on some good pictures of the car. Be nice and meet with people when you can and be honest about the car, what it is and why you have priced it that way. It shouldn't take too long unless you live in a very rural place. You can sell it to a used car dealer. Just use the KBB.com to see how much you'll be losing. Generally, you're paying them a couple of grand to deal with it. If this is what you want to do, then go for it. |
