Question Humid Basement

I have a large ranch., which gets humid in the summer.
I have noticed that there are some really small white marks ( almost looks like baby powder) marks on the ceiling rafters in the basement. I keep a de-humidifier going in the basement.
Is this a form of mold and are there any suggestions as to make this go away. Its really not bad, you can only see it in bright light

If the dehumidifier is doing its job you should not have a mold problem. Are your cold water pipes sweating? I recommend buying a humidity gage and measure the moisture level in your basement. You want to keep the humidity below 60%. Perhaps the white spots originated prior to the addition of a dehumidifier.
