Mold?

I have a home built in 1925 that has a poured concrete foundation.

At some point in the past, someone put thin concrete decorative stones on the interior walls.

I get these white spots in areas on the walls inside and I'd like to know how to tell whether or not it is mold?

Thanks, Terry

Likely it is efflourescence, salts leaching out from the mortar.
