You generally don't "clean" catalytic converters, you just replace them. Sea foam in the gas helps with polllutants in the engine, through the FI system or in the crankcase, but I doubt it will clean a converter.

If the converter is plugged, you have two choices, you can cut it apart and take the guts out or you can replace it with a new converter.

Sometimes the guts inside of the converter will break and go sideways and will not let the exhaust gas go through it.

In most cases with the new style small converter there is no way to put a steel rod inside of it and knock the guts out without doing some welding and cutting.

Check with the manufacturer and see what the emissions warranty is, it still might be under warranty.

And lets note....it is illegal to modify/eliminate a Cat on a car designed to have one. Thats illegal as in FEDERAL law.....

If it is clogged, blocked, melted down...then it needs to be replaced.

Emmisions equipment is normally warrantied for 80k miles, sometimes longer if there has been a recall of some sort.
