2006 Mustang Heater problem

Hi guys, having a heater problem in my newly-purchased 2006 mustang. The unit only blows cold air and does not heat up, even after a 20minute spin down the highway. A/C works fine, but it is almost December! I was thinking blend door valve but can't seem to locate any good diagrams or other information on how to diagnose the prob. Prefer not to bring it in to the dealer (waranty + distance) Self fix or any otehr information is greatly appreciated!

One obvious question -- is the temperature gauge indicating the engine is coming up to normal operating temperature? When the heater is set to "hi" and the engine is up to temperature, are both hoses to the heater core hot?
