99 chevy cavalier clutch cylinders

After trying to bleed the clutch line the clutch pedal will not come back up. Fluid did not drip or run out of the line even after removing the bleed valve. The fluid level in resevior stayed the same. Does this mean I need to replace the master cylinder or the slave cylinder?

did you try manualy pulling up the pedal, if it will pull up retry bleeding, press on the pedal one time and with it depressed open the bleeder valve, reclose and repeat. if you are unabel to bleed the clutch like that then yes you will need a new clutch master, maybe both as some models only come as a set master and slave.

the bad part about your situation is that they usually come as a prebled set and you must pull the trans to replace slave cylinder.
