My house has a semi-exposed basement. The semi-exposed exterior wall has a light what-appears-to-be-cement dash coat applied (brushed on) over the layer of insulation. The previous owner apparently weed-whacked a little too closely and the dash coat has a number of nasty gouges exposing the insulation layer below. I would like to repair these gouges - what should I buy? Any additional tips/hints?
Thanks in advance!

Are you by any chance describing a Drivit synthetic stucco finish?
What type of insulation has been exposed by the damage?

Sigh.....I'm afraid I'm out of my league on this one. The finish "looks" like cement. It's gray, brittle and applied with a brush (large swirls in the finish) for a very thin coat. The exposed "insulation" reminds me of foamcore with a blue covering. (I could take a picture and post that if you think it would help).
