My mother and I have just finished stripping and sanding some wooden furniture. We are planning on painting it, but are not sure which type of paint to use, oil, latex...? We have two dressers, a chair, and a bedframe to do. Any suggestions?

I usually use EXTERIOR latex house paint. It can be mixed to any color you want, and is generally more durable than the interior grade. Use a semi-gloss (the higher the shine, everything else being equal, the more durable the surface).
