My daughter wants to partially carpet her basement, which is cement. Is there a way of putting down a threshhold and having it stay in place without the special cement nails? I haven't done this in years, and was wondering if some of the adhesives now-a-days would work just as well. Thanks.

In the adhesive market, nothing will outlast the steel concete nails.
