I have a Yamaha YZ-250 and not sure what year. Is there a web site that has VIN identification information for dirt bikes. Thanks

I'm pretty familiar with YZ's. I've owned several. If you can post a picture of it, there's a good chance I can identify it.

Nichboy, my best guess is 1991. I'm about 70% confident. What brand of oil are you using?

I would say if that is a YZ 250 it is a 89 or 90... I can tell this from the back fender and the side cover. I own a 91 yz 250 and this bike looks nothing like mine. You can also go to yamahaoftroy.com and click on OEM parts finder and it well give you specks on your bike if it is a 90'.
