I have finally finished stripping off the old layer of finish on my dinner table. Before applying my finish layer of polyurethane...is it necessary to put on a 50:50 mixture of polyurethane and mineral spirits as a seam sealer?
Also, i read that I am suppose to sand inbetween coats of polyurethane to allow each additional layer to adhere, but what about the LAST coat? Do I need to sand that too? Sort of like buffering it? or do i just leave the last coat as is?
Thanks

Some people prefer to thin the first coat of poly. I don't think it's necessary, and I don't do it.
The last coat is a finish coat - sanding is usually ont needed.
