we have a *huge* front window. it's about 140" across, give or take a few. we ordered beautiful 2" wood blinds that came as three separate 'pieces' (don't know what else to call it) on the same rail. two 40" and one center 60". these blinds were so heavy they were IMPOSSIBLE to roll up and down. it didn't seem right to me, but the lady assured us that this was normal for the size we got (weren't notified of that when we bought them, haha). anyway, the store took them back and we're stuck with paper taped to the window. does anyone have a suggestion other than verticals or cheap plastic blinds for a window this size? something i will be able to budge without having to hang on it like tarzan?

Most manufacturers would never had made the 3 blinds on one head rail for the exact reason you explained. 3 individual blinds with one valance would be the way to go. What is the length of the blinds? Good quality blinds in those sizes should have been easy enough to lift. If it's still a problem then look at Hunter Douglas Silhouettes.

THE SYSTEM YOU PURCHASED IS CALLED A "3 ON 1 HEADRAIL"
IT WOULD BE FAIRLY HEAVY FOR THE MEASUREMENTS YOU HAVE. CONSIDER A CELLULAR SHADE. I BELEIVE YOU COULD DO THIS IN 1 BLIND AND THEY HAVE AN OPTION YOU CAN USE FOR EASY LIFTING CALLED A CONTINUOUS CORD OPTION.
