My kids left some of my husbands tool out in the rain. Is it possible to get the rust of of them? Some of them laid in a box of water. Thanks of the help!

Soak them in Coca Cola or apple cider vinegar - I have done the vinegar - it stinks but it works. I haven't done the Coke but I hear it works great too!

A little naval jelly will probably also remove the rust too.

You can use some WD40 on a rag and they will probably clean up fine as well.

I knew there was a reason I didn't drink Coca Cola. If it can take rust off, imagine what it can do to your insides.

I believe that was one of the original selling points of Coke and Pepsi, besides the "Pep" from the cocaine originally in the mix. The soda could pull a roto-rooter on the digestive tract. Doubtful if coke is helpful to the tract, but the cocaine must have made it all feel good anyhow.
