Need to wire up a receptackle for a RV camper
with a 110/125 30 amp plug.
I have the wire black/red/wight/bare 10 gage
under ground wire
The plug is self explanitory but how do you hook up the 30 amp breaker

What you have is 10/3 wire, and what you need is 10/2 wire. That red wire is gonna confuse you. if possible, replace the 10/3 with 10/2, otherwise, just ignore the red wire. In the panel, connect the bare wire to the gound bar, the white wire to the neutral bar, and the black to the breaker. At the outlet end, you should only have connections for the bare, white and black.
quote:
Originally posted by Gerr:
