I did a floor with some prefinished laminated plank that they sell at the major home supply stores (forgot the name but it's the one with the picture of the housewife installing it on the package).
I had a terrible time installing this product. It's supposed to be done as floating, glued T&G floor. I found that the T&G was way too tight and often it was impossible to totally close the gap between planks. Later I figured out that if I used a dremel to open up the groove a little it was easier but then you run the risk of seperating planks that are already laid down.
I would personally stay away from glued products.
Can anyone recommend a product to fill gaps on prefinished floors?

out of curiosity what method did you use to squeeze the planks together? I know that with some of these floors you're suposed to use a type of band clamp.

typical installation for a glued laminate is to clamp the first three rows and let dry for 3 hours (varies by manufactu) and then i continue to use the clamps to draw the boards tight and use tape to hold them together as i progress across the floor. The hardest part is keeping it square with a floating application.

The instructions said to use a block of wood and a hammer. This floor was also floated above a thin sheet of foam and because of this it's often impossible to get the replacement molding flush against the floor (although some of this may be due to an uneven floor to begin with).
