Downstairs Tempstar AC unit will not quit running after themostat is satisfied. The blower turns off, but the compressor and fan run until the unit freezes due to no air flow I guess. I have to turn off the breaker to stop it. The thermostat is turning off the blower, so I do not suspect it. Any ideas?

Contactor probably sticking in your outside uit. Shut the power off to your INSIDE unit (furnace or air handler). If the outside unit still runs, its definately your contactor. Should be a quick & easy fix for a service tech. Part is cheap also.
