I recently had to replace the motor for my blower. I replaced it with exactly the same size motor (all specifications matched exactly) that was in previously and wired it exactly the same as it is a 3 speed motor. I have it wired for Med. and High speed. It was working fine prior to the motor going but it does not seem to have the same CFM output as it had previously and it is causing my coil and lines to freeze up due to lack of air flow. Any thoughts on what the problem is? Should I disconnect the med. speed and let it run on high constantly?

Make sure the motor is turning the right direction (rotation). There normally is an arrow on your blower housing showing the proper rotation. If your motor is reversable, it will have 2 sets of wires that are connected to each other with spade terminals. You have to switch the connections to reverse the rotation.

I checked that prior to connecting everything. The blower is a clockwise rotation so the the connection is yellow to orange and orange to yellow. I disconnected the med speed wire connection last night and the CFM did not change. So I know it isn't the relay switch.
