our central air conditioner is leaking into our garage.we checked the drain pipe that goes to the outside... it is not clogged..but the water is still backing up in the unit itself.it has soaked the wall underneath and drains onto the garage floor....since the line is clear why is this backing up???if we wet vac it out or turn it off and let it dry up when we turn it on it works fine....until the water builds up again....HELP!!!!

1) The condensate water may be collecting in the pan but the pan is leaking (cracked or corroded or out of level leaning away from the drain fitting).
2) The water may actually fall directly off the coil and miss the pan... instead of sliding down the coil into the pan and out the drain. (This can be fixed by cleaning the coil and pan with soap and water.)
