I have had several boards in a hardwood floor eaten by termites. These boards are oak and approximately 1 inch wide.

How do I take the old boards up so that I can replace them? Are they just nailed down or is there cement there?

Yikes... you may have more of a problem than just the oak flooring. Have you had an extermintor check the joists and underlayment?

Yes we had an exterminator out several months ago but just found this yesterday. He is supposed to be back tomorrow.

I agree with Rich.
If termites have gotten into the flooring, they got there through the floor framing (joists, subfloor, etc.), and you're probably going to have to repair all of it before you can cut and pry out the flooring and replace it.
Good Luck!
