Is it possible to paint a brass headboard to look like green wrought iron? If so how would I do that? Thanks for any advise you can offer.

June...do you mean the greenish appearance you see on old copper (verdigris)? If so, have a look at these search results.

The key to painting brass however is a proper primer (tinted if necessary). See this link to read more about the recommended primer (ie...Primelock) first.
