Hello,
I have a brand new Panasonic Tau CT20SX11 TV, with a Sony DVDP560 DVD player connected to it. The Sony just came back from the repair shop and has never been used with this TV before. I have the S video cable connected between TV/DVD and the RCA cables with just the red and white audio connections plugged in. The color is very washed out when playing a DVD. The RCA cable is the freebie that came with the TV.
Question: what could the problem be? the sony always had a good picture before on our other TV.
TIA,
Laura

Try hooking it up without the s-video plug (just use all 3 rca cables) and see if the picture is better. If it is, then it could be your s-video wire or the s-video plug. If that doesn't fix it (and your tv looks fine while watching TV) then it is most likely your DVD player.
