I recently had an antique oak table professionally refinished. My husband managed to push so hard on the paper he was writing on that the columns of numbers are on the table. I know she had put several coats of shellac on it because I had said I wanted be able to use the table. How can I take care of this? Or should I just have it re-done? Thanks.

You need to have a pro look at this - although it's not likely, it is possible the impression of your husbands writing is in the wood as well as the finish. If it's just in the finish, a real pro can fix the piece in your house.
