I was watching if walls could talk last night on HGTV and they showed a bathroom wallpapered in newspapers. I would love to do this. We live in a small town and my kids have been in the papers numerous times for sports and school things and I have saved the old papers so I would LOVE to wallpaper their playhouse with these and other newspapers.
I need to know how I could do this without the newpaper print smearing. I figured I could probably just put it on with wallpaper glue but need to know what I could put over it so it will not tear or yellow and will look kind of glossy any clues??

Thanks Sherry

The only suggestion I have Sherry, is, to use a water-based (acrylic) polyurethane, such as 'Stays Clear' by Benjamin Moore. It has no toner in it and therefore will not yellow. It's available in in low lustre and high gloss. Two coats should be sufficient for your needs. As always with a new procedure, a test board or area would be sound advice. Best of luck.
