I have a resin angel that is a dark mahogany finish with a polyurethane finish that I want to change. I would like the entire body of the angel to be a warm and much lighter cream tone with accents of gold and red throughout. I do want some of the original mahogany color appear as though it has aged and is exposed. I presume this step would be done with parraffin wax so the paint would not adhere. How should I proceed?

Stop by your local craft store and explore the glazes and paints. For smaller items, the small size tubes and jars of glazes and paints are very practical.
