i have an older home..40 years...dull brown paint...i want to paint it myself....is spraying the paint on a good idea? i was thinking of renting a sprayer to do the job.

also what sort of paint does anyone recommend? oil or water based? the house is dark brown and i am thinking of going a nice soft grey color.

any tips would help this lady...thanks.

feel free to email me any opinions.

Paint can be applied with brush, roller, or sprayer. Buy the best quality of paint you can afford. Most paint manufacturers tend to manufacture good, better, best levels of quality. Surface preparation is crucial to a good paint job.
