I am interested in painting repeating diamond shapes on opposite walls of my child's bedroom. I plan on painting the
entire wall the lighter color first, then once dry, taping off and painting the diamonds in a darker shade. How should I even begin to tape off so that it looks professionally done? Any other suggestions?

Stop by a local craft shop and pick up some stenciling supplies and paints. You can cut the diamond shape the size you want and then proceed. Using a stencil will take the guess work and the time out of trying to tape of the diamonds.

There are helpful books on stenciling at home and paint centers. There are also many helpful sites on the internet as well as books at the library and bookstores.

Go to hgtv.com and they have ideas that will work for this project. Stencils are you other option but are costly.
