The wooden floor in one room has deep gouges in it. We've filled them in with wood putty. I don't think we can stain the floor, so painting it is our only option. I'd like a whitewashing technique. How would I do this? Any other ideas?
Thanks, Cheryl

Although painting is an option, repairs and refinishing tend to be recommended.
