Painting - painting kitchen cabinets

I'm planning on painting my med. brown stained wood cabinets white. The cabinets and finish are in good condition. I'm hoping it won't be necessary to sand them, just use some sort of a cleaner/deglosser prior to priming and painting.

Has anyone tried this technique before? What products would you recommend for the cleaning/deglossing of the surface? Also, do you think it is possible to get a nice painted surface without sanding?

OK to answer your question yes this is very doable but not with out sanding. The sanding is one of the most important parts to how good your cabints turn out.I say use a good degreaser on them let dry,then sand them very good.Prime with a good oil base primer I like Kills it is also a stain blocker and i know you dont want to hear it but yes you need to sand again.Then go with your cabint paint. You paint store can tell you a good cabint paint to use.
